Idea and Indian Music academy presents "JALSA"

The message is to spread the sound of Indian music. The beginning of a movement with 12-City concerts that not only spreads but also popularizes Indian Music both in India and across the globe.

As all roads in led to Bangalore this August 29 th , with IDEA Cellular, India's leading cellular operator, in association with IMA (Indian Music Academy), held the second “ Idea presents Jalsa ”.

The stage was set alive to enthrall all music lover with north Indian classical vocalist Padma Vibhushan Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj and carnatic flute player Shashank giving it the feel of Indian classical music. The venue, Chowdiah Memorial Hall, turned music as the center for all attraction.

The Idea-Jalsa concerts aim at providing platform to young maestros to showcase talent and to promote Indian Classical Music. Idea and many legendary Indian musicians have come together to lend support to this initiative.

May early this year first Idea Jalsa was held in Hyderabad where Idea Cellular also launched Idea- Madhur - a new and innovative music category on mobile containing all forms of classical music. The Indian Music Academy at an initial stage has successfully connected with over 600 musicians across Mumbai, Pune and Nasik. There are more to waiting to join in, ultimately creating a new and future generation Indian Music Listeners.
